Claim it freeBuilders' Hardware and Specialty Company is a trusted garage door provider serving the greater Erie area. With a commitment to quality, they deliver reliable garage door services to residential and commercial customers throughout Erie, Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and surrounding communities.
Erie's heavy snowfall and ice storms put significant strain on garage doors and openers. Residents in Millcreek, Summit Township, and Harborcreek frequently need spring replacement, opener repair, and weatherstripping upgrades. Freeze-thaw cycles can warp tracks and damage panels, making garage door service a year-round necessity in Erie County.

John..... The time between 9:30 -10:00 am will be fine to make repairs on the door closure that your installer states he never drill out, that is now failing and your now sending someone out to repair because of the installers attempted modification, changing the configuration, trying to make it work, with the installation of a shorter screw leaving out a locking washer to a binding internal part that should of had free movement.... The same installer that drilled out the closure (not the new guy), the installer who installed the side door a second time with his number of years experience, made errors mounting the door frame to the building. The whole door frame was installed one half inch difference from hinge side to strike side, installed at an angle from the surface of the exterior of the building which is obvious, visibly noticeable, is not the same from one side to the other. This required additional interior work to bring the inner top door casing frame flush with the interior drywall. Prior to the strike side being anchored to the opening, your installer was not contentious enough to recognize his error, securing the strike side door casing out of square, leaving a gap for cold air and snow to enter, then attempting correct his error using multiple rows of roll sticky insulation to the door casing strike side to block daylight entering with door closed. One begins to wonder what the atmosphere or the shop talk, the installers are having with managers prior to being dispatched to job sites or if the owners are aware of the quality of work being done. Is it possible, that this business has reached a point when quality doesn't matter anymore because of revenue coming in from multiple businesses? Like this honest assessment, it will probably be tossed off to the side with joke made about this job or customer, stumbling on blindly to the next job without being address as it should be, if it were my owned business. The old saying, "the work speaks for itself"!!! Its really unfortunate for the customers, that within your organization there is not a follow up of customer satisfaction or anyone being sent out doing physical inspections of the completed installs, relying only from a one sided response from your installer as to the installation and or one sided issues. Sometimes, when companies increase in size, unless the company has contentious and dedicated employees, the company continuous stumbles, example of another old saying "one hand doesn't know what the other is doing" stumbling from day to day not realizing or possibly not caring what's done or quality of work being done, surviving at a level when a much greater level can be achieved. Quality of workmanship is your best advertisement, in our case, this sale was to be a quick dollar, and an inflated dollar compared to your competitors. John, I didn't think that you really needed my phone number as you requested it in your email on September 28th at 8:09 am to set up an appointment, which obviously was unnecessarily requested as you made the appointment without making a call to the number you requested. We are in the process of starting another business with renovations, making improvements and accommodating for deliveries which is requiring the installation of double doors, new employees entrance door, another set of double customer entrance doors. With your past record with us and the quality of your installers workmanship, one has to give serious thoughts to even looking towards your company with expectations of additional work. Your company is always in the position of changing the path of your reputation, weather you or your company chooses to or not, will determine your future, not only with our small job needs, but with all of your jobs, eventually. Thank you, we'll be expecting your installer at the time you replied from your email and made the appointment for, with replacement closure parts. Make this opportunity to serve us (and all of your customers) really count and truly be meaningful
