Claim it freeLakari Waterproofing is a trusted foundation & waterproofing provider serving the greater Erie area. With a commitment to quality, they deliver reliable foundation & waterproofing services to residential and commercial customers throughout Erie, Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and surrounding communities.
Erie's freeze-thaw cycles, high water table, and lake-effect precipitation create serious foundation challenges. Basement flooding is common in low-lying neighborhoods like Glenwood and parts of South Erie. Homes built before 1970 in Downtown Erie and Little Italy often need crack sealing, waterproofing, and sump pump installation. Spring snowmelt is the peak season for foundation emergencies.

These guys are incredible. From Steve to his crew these guys are professional basement experts who take pride in their work and get results without taking your wallet to the cleaners. About 3 years ago we started getting water in the finished part of our basement. We have poured concrete walls and couldn't figure out why we were getting water on the DOWNHILL side of the house. It took 3 years to find someone who could figure out and fix what was wrong. It was Mr. Lakari. It turns out the contractors who did the basement work for the builder here in Sterling Ridge decided to take a shortcut on the amount of gravel used around the drainage pipe that rings the foundation and feeds the sump. That coupled with a property that wasn't graded according to the maps submitted to the township resulted in the drainage pipe becoming clogged with Pennsylvania clay over a 12 year period. Every time it would rain the water had nowhere to go and seeped up from the foundation into my finished Man Cave. The drainage pipe along the south side of the house had to be excavated and replaced. Then they added 4-5' of gravel. As you can see in the picture there was no 4-5' of gravel when the house was built. Lakari put in cleanouts so if we have an issue in the future we hopefully won't have to excavate again. They brought in a high pressure water jet machine and cleaned out the rest of the pipe around the house. They filled everything back in and tamped the soil down so it wouldn't run off when it rains. We've had a few all day soakers and downpours since and it's dry as a bone. We couldn't be happier. This is the first Thanksgiving we can entertain people in my Man Cave without the embarrassment of mud and water flowing through the middle of it. There were multiple events during this process where a basement contractor could have taken us to the cleaners. Steve and his crew focused on the best long term fix possible at the lowest possible cost. They are honest as the day is long. Steve and crew, I want to publicly thank you for an outstanding job! You will forever be on my Keeper List of outstanding contractors!!

Mark and his team did an amazing job!! They were very friendly and really good at communication. If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would. I’m not sure if I have ever seen a group of people work that hard on a project. I highly recommend you call them if you’re having water issues in your basement!

Hate to do this. I asked them to come out for some suggestions on improving water drainage, and worst case scenario, maybe drop down the two sump pumps. I told them I did not have $50,000 to pay to have entire property dug up and/or entire basement dug up, but nonetheless they agreed to see what they could do and would reach out with proposals. They ghosted me. I wish them luck and all they had to do was let me know.
