I’m very pleased with the work ARK Basement Services did, as our old basement proved not to be easy work. I can attest to the fact that these guys do what it takes to get the job done right, and I’m relieved to say that our basement is fully waterproofed. There were remnants of a French drain installed likely over 20 years ago, but there were no signs of it working between a bad pump and inconsistent water flow onto our floor through the old membrane…it was a sore sight. All it took was an extra rainy day and water/sediment was at the foot of the basement stairs. I reached out to ARK Basement Services, among other local businesses, via their website, as I frequently refer to online reviews like this one in my decision making. Aside from usual company service guarantees for this kind of work, it was really their reviews that ultimately pushed me to choose their work for our basement, and I have to say they went the extra mile for us! Tyler and Jonnie did great work installing the French drain, and it was nice to see the progress each day, as I’m not one to rush important work like this. I was really impressed with how thorough they were in their demo, digging up the old concrete and gravel underneath, and I was shocked at how much both standing and flowing water there was when Tyler was digging out the trench deeper than the last one (see video). Our example became the perfect case of whatever you see coming to the surface in your basement may likely only be the beginning of what lies underneath your floor or behind your walls. So, if you have a similar problem of moisture or water flow in your basement, it could be worse than you realize behind that concrete. These guys will make sure it all gets addressed. The remaining few photos show some of the work they did installing the piping, gravel, and membrane, all of which looked very neatly done. I even asked that they rip away some of the stairs to really improve the water drainage in an area of the basement that didn’t have it before, and they did a great job (I had new stairs installed myself afterwards). Throughout the whole project, I had all sorts of questions about the work, water removal, the system itself, maintenance, you name it, and Tyler was quick and professional in answering them and seeing the project through to its final completion. I am definitely looking forward to a dry basement this spring, and I would certainly recommend ARK Basement Services to any local family trying to weather the Erie rain and snow.

I had a great experience working with Ark. Every person I interacted with communicated clearly, was kind, professional, and easy to work with. They were extremely solution-oriented and helped me navigate a couple of sensitive plumbing issues. As the project moved along and a few unexpected issues came up, they stepped in and supported me even when they really didn’t have to. That level of integrity meant a lot. Their pricing was also more reasonable than three other competitors I looked into, and the quality of their work was outstanding. I was able to observe the progress daily and was genuinely impressed with their work. Since the work was completed, I haven’t noticed any water ingress or moisture issues at all. I’m looking forward to having them come back to bury our sump pump drain when the weather warms up. I would absolutely recommend Ark without hesitation.

I had Ark waterproof my basement in 2022. The Sump pump piping out to the discharge pipe under the driveway, came apart from the severe cold. They came today put in new PVC connector.30 min repair 👏🏻👏🏻

We had Bob and David to install a sump pump. They were on time every day, and they kept us informed of every process they were doing, and giving estimated timeframes as well. They never once started or ended a process without talking to us and making sure we were comfortable with the progress. They were hard workers and got the job done is just a few days. They were extremely professional in both the job, and the way they held themselves around us. They also took precautions to avoid damaging any of the flooring while moving in and out of the house. Glad we went with them, and so far the basement has been dry!
