Honestly, I went in here expecting to have a terrible time because of the reviews. I did not get good news, but that is mostly because of what my insurance would cover. Overall, I was in the office for a little over an hour, including the wait time. The dentist came back and took a look, said my insurance didn't cover root canals so I would need extractions. I got a little argumentative about that and he got a little taken back. But we worked through it, and I am happy with the care I received. They referred me to Meadville for extractions, but are going to do the fillings here. He said I need a lot of dental work, but not to the point where I need to lose all of my teeth. It's unfortunate my dental insurance doesn't cover those procedures, I honestly thought it had, or I would have looked into other dental insurance options--like an add-on or something. Now, I have to wait a little longer to get the dental work for the teeth that were specifically bothering me, since I want to try to save them. The dentist recommended getting them out as quickly as I could, but I am going to have to look into financing options, etc.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place is beyond terrible, the dentist assistant are extremely rude. They have put me through a waiting process for over a year and there doing it again instead helping me. I explained to them that the process they put me through last year did not help, I’ve called all these places you recommend and they do not accept my insurance. I was simply ignored and was told well if your in this much pain go to the hospital extremely rude, I proceeded to explain I was in the hospital a month ago because if this tooth problem an I’ve been waiting on this appointment to have it taken care of I was told well maybe you should go again.

Horrible service! 1 star for a reason. Find a better dentist office. I will be contacting the supervisor. Unprofessional, rude, unacceptable... they do not care! Updating just to say Dental Hygienist Lana is saving this building added 2 for her

I had a very frustrating experience with John Horan Gardens Dental Office. I waited a long time for my appointment, only to have it rescheduled multiple times—this was the fourth or fifth time it happened. It felt like a huge waste of time, and I can't recommend this office to others. It's just not worth the hassle or the wait.

Told me 4 times while drilling into my tooth "this shouldn't hurt." Well, it did hurt, it hurt very much. Two days later I'm still in pain from lack of lidocaine and a dentists heavy hand. Canceled all my upcoming appointments, going to Dr. Hemmerlee on Peach St. from now on. There is a kind and gentle dentist there that made my root canal hurt less than this filling. If you are ever in the dentists chair and your gut tells you 'this is going to be bad' listen to your gut instinct. I wish I had.
