In the end, I got the house that I wanted and I'm happy, but I was really hoping for some better service and professionalism on how certain things were handled. I felt like I was doing more work finding the house that I wanted than the agent. I found the one that I wanted and I think the agent was annoyed that it was a for sale by owner which meant that they wouldn't get as much commission on the sale. Agent basically ended up going MIA and had other people cover for her. She didn't even show up for my closing. Probably wouldn't recommend Howard Hanna for anyone buying their first home.

Hands down the best realtor in Erie. She returns your calls promptly, advocates on your behalf, always on time and very professional. I’ve worked with Mary on purchasing numerous investment properties and thanks to her everything went smoothly. I have bought and sold 6 houses in four states and this is by far the worst realty company that I have dealt with. Mary Jane Magorien was the listing on the property. She is the worst agent I have ever encountered. Her clients and the house were not prepared at closing and she was on vacation in Florida. Think long a hard before hiring her. Her Manager Diane L. Potocki-Leggate was absolutely no help in correcting the situation. Apparently, she is a Manager in title only. First Mary has a real problem telling the truth. The items found faulty on inspection she told us "worked just fine" and only when we demanded she prove they were in working order was there acknowledgement of a problem. Her client signed a document stating what issues they were going to address, only then verbally state they would not. Property listed as part of the sale was missing at the walk through, the sellers had not vacated the premises and the place was in horrendous condition. Her communication skills are subpar for a person in her line of work. She is the most uncaring, unresponsive and unethical realtor I have ever dealt with, and there have been many!!

Mark and Rachael Kibbe of Howard Hanna were amazing Realtors. They went above and beyond helping us stage, declutter and prepare our home for sale. They made the process easy to understand and were incredibly down to earth people. If you want to buy or sell a home in Erie County, I would highly recommend Mark and Rachael.
