Riedman Apartments

Renting from this company was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I lived in Alpine Village for three years. I begged management for nearly a year to crack down on smoking cigarettes and weed in the building(all buildings have been smoke free for over a year.) I have severe allergies and it was causing me to constantly feel terrible. (I also get allergy shots twice weekly so I was trying to be proactive.) I asked the office multiple times if they would consider terminating my lease early without penalty because they would not help. We knew who the exact tenant was and they refused to inspect her unit. I ended up getting a note from my allergist stating they must terminate my lease due to the impact it was having on my quality of life. I gave Riedman a two week notice. During that two weeks I slowly moved my things out. One day I went back to grab more things and there was a HOLE IN MY CEILING FROM A BULLET. Pics included. I immediately contacted maintenance and they said that was impossible because there was no bullet. I had spoken my neighbor below me and we had to beg maintenance to come back and pull up the carpet. The next day they came back and found the bullet. They said they would be filing a police report the next day. This did not sit right with us and I immediately contact Millcreek PD and they were there in 10mins. They were very concerned as the crime committed was a felony. I immediately contacted Riedman and they didn’t care at all. I explained to them that I felt extremely unsafe and if they could not provide a safe environment for me to get the rest of my things out and clean then I would need to leave it as is. I was really sad because I had to leave behind some things that I really would have liked to take. (Email I sent included, I received no response to it.) Riedman refused to evict the tenant or press charges against this person. Instead they moved someone else in my unit a week later. This was covered up and hidden from everyone else in the building and property. I tried to reach the corporate offices but never heard back. I am truly concerned for the safety and wellbeing of all Riedman tenants. They do not care about you. They only want your money. They don’t replace anything for you. Do yourself a favor and rent from anyone but them. I would leave zero stars if it were an option.

I have been working with Aileen in hopes of securing a one bedroom at Laural Springs and she has been awesome. From the very beginning talking through text Aileen was very positive, helpful, and friendly. When I went to meet with her face to face to view two different apartments a studio and a one bedroom she was very patient, kind, and thorough when it came to giving information and answering my questions. Even after the appointment Aileen continued to offer her assistance if we had additional questions or concerns. I truly appreciated and enjoyed working with Aileen and hopefully this is just the beginning!! Thanks Aileen from Laural Springs

I have tried several times to have the office at Grand Island ,ny apartments to ask the tenant next to me to stop smoking inside. He could go out to the picnic area behind our building to smoke. I can't enjoy my patio now it's summer because he's smoking constantly out on his patio and the fumes blow into my apartment. If they say no grills because it's a fire hazard, what about smoking? Plus , I have a disability spot. There are cars always parked behind me making it difficult to back up. We have also mentioned about a certain group that has the park all day and at 6:00 . They stay in there for hours and don't let anyone with big dogs in. Aggravated ten ant.

Negative stars if I could, terrible corporate greed. My dad died 5 days before my move out date, I offered to pay willowood/reidman if they could give me till June 4 to have my dad's funeral and then shampoo the carpets, which they are ripping out anyways to raise the monthly rate by $600.00. To have time to move my furniture which I had to leave behind and clean the 4 year old mini blinds, again they are replacing them and clean the old!! And barely functioning stove. You guessed it! They are replacing that too. Grand total $2600.00 owed to a money hunger and dishonest corporation. Are there any compassionate, real people left in this world!!?? Avoid Reidman corporation rentals at all cost. Oh, and just so you know, I was never delinquent on rent in 4 years but it means nothing to them

Since I can’t respond to your response, I’ll add another review. What you’re saying isn’t true about the Hammock construction in Fairview, PA. The road was impassable today when a semi blocked both lanes at 8am as I was trying to take my child to school. Its blocked almost daily at some point in the day. The road is constant mud to the point that it doesn’t appear to be a paved road. Maybe once every 2 weeks a Bobcat skims it but it packs the mud down more than anything. Yes, grates were installed on one side but they are packed to the brim with mud. I can take pictures if you want another post? Maybe you’d like a picture of the exposed septic tank from the supervisors trailer park right on the road? It’s a treat to look at raw sewage right outside our windows. Also, if you drive down Kell Road any day of the week between 12:30-2 you’ll see Connecto Electric and other vans with workers sleeping in them, smoking, throwing garbage in the field. Lastly, Showman Excavating J breaks down Avonia Rd and McCray rd at 5am dozens of times and all throughout the day. The 7-5 statement is a plain lie, complete lie. The driver is the owner of the company, an older skinny man with a white beard and hair. You can say all you want from Rochester but I get to live thru this everyday for the next two years. Your organization gives a bad name to descent and respectful contractors. It’s 5pm now and I’m watching trucks deliver material. Greedman just doesn’t care. Build it and get out of town is their plan because they are obviously not trying to be apart of the community and the people in it. They’re too rude to be apart of the community.
