With a commitment to quality, they deliver reliable plumbing services to residential and commercial customers throughout Erie, Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and surrounding communities.
Erie's freeze-thaw cycles and 101 inches of annual lake-effect snowfall create unique challenges for plumbing systems. Frozen pipes, burst water lines, and basement flooding are common issues for homeowners in Millcreek, Harborcreek, and downtown Erie. Pennsylvania law requires all plumbing work to be performed by a licensed plumber under PA Act 27.

Same issue as the last poor fella to deal with this ridiculous company. Quoted a complete removal of my unit last year and sent in to American Home Shield for warranty services. I was intentionally quoted thousands of dollars over what AMS quoted the repairs for and all it needed was a thermostat. Thanks YouTube! David J Winston gets an F! For leaving my family to freeze in the winter over greedy and shady business practices! Too bad BBB doesn’t take into consideration individual ratings and reviews. This company has taken a steep dive since their earlier reviews! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

They were recommended by American Home Shield, American Home Shield is a waste of money. They installed a new furnace but removed my old air conditioning condenser without my permission. They did not even test it before they removed it after installing the new furnace. They installed a new Air conditioning condenser because they removed the old one without permission but it still cost me extra. They installation job they did lasted less then two years and leaked out all the Freon. The air-conditioning unit was not working. I thought the thermostat failed and I replaced it. It still did not work and I asked a friend that is an HVAC professional to see if I installed the thermostat correctly. It was working perfectly. As a favor to me, he checked the Freon level in the system and he discovered that it was empty. He tested the system to discover that the brazing job that was done on the air-condition leaked. It was in the 90's and we were suffering from heat exhaustion in our home. I told him to fix it if he could, We are senior citizens and have a cool environment is essential to us. He had to cut the faulty pipe and replaced it and recharged the system and it worked and we cooled off. I called the David J. Winston Company about this issue as I feel that they owe me for their shod work. The receptionist was rude and asked why I did not call them. I explained that the person I called was there to check my thermo stat and not the system. She was rude, obnoxious and sent out a crew two days later. I wrote them a letter that basically outlined every thing I have stated here. They sent a letter back. They called me a liar, they denied their shody workmanship, the rudeness of the person who answered the phone and sent a check for 80 dollars. I had sent them a bill for the Freon that was used to recharge the system. I was extremely disgusted with the David J. Winston CO. They made a mistake and I paid for it. They removed my condenser before they tested it initially. They denied any wrong doing. I will never call them ever again and as I am stating here, I will not recommend them to anyone. If you want to pay for their mistakes go and call them. I am not satisfied with their work and they are not someone to be trusted, unless you want to pay more money for something that you do not need. They are crooked and I do not recommend them to anyone. Fell free to share this.

They were quick, communicated great, had great knowledge of the work they were doing, were professional, and had amazing teamwork. One thing that really caught my attention was that when other teams were done, they came to help out the team that was at my house because my house hadn't been serviced in a while (bought the house recently and previous owners didn't take care of the boiler system). The teamwork showed what kind of company culture they had, and it enabled the employees to do a great job. These guys were fair in their pricing, and went above and beyond to help me with the issues that I had without trying to oversell me on things that I didn't need. Would highly recommend.

Very professional and helpful! They certainly know their stuff. Boilers and everything plumbing. They serviced my boiler multiple times over the years and even solved a problem other HVAC people didn’t with my air scoop. Rather than replace the smaller air scoop every 2 years, they knew it had to be much larger than what was there to take the pressure of a larger hot water heater system. Highly recommended. Thanks again guys for the recent help!
