**Five Stars for Paws’n Claws – Sig’s Favorite Place!** I’ve never seen my 1.5-year-old Golden Sig light up the way he does in the mornings before going to playcare. The second we pull into the Paws’n Claws lot, he’s dragging me to the door, tail wagging like a helicopter blade. Drop-off is a breeze: the staff greets him by name, gives him a quick once-over, and he’s off—zero hesitation, zero anxiety. Inside, it’s clear the place is built for dogs who actually *want* to be there. The play yards are huge, with separate zones for big zoomers and little scramblers. The handlers are everywhere—kneeling, tossing balls, breaking up the occasional “overly enthusiastic greeting” before it escalates. They even post midday photos: Sig mid-zoomie, Sig napping on a bed, Sig playing on the Little Tikes playground gym, Sig in the kiddie pool. By pickup, he’s gloriously wiped out—happy grin, snatching his treat for the ride home. The grooming add-on is clutch too; Mara always does a wonderful job with all of my dogs and the service can be added to any playcare or boarding visit! Paws’n Claws isn’t just a boarding facility either; it’s Sig’s home-away-from-home staffed by people who genuinely love the chaos of dogs. Last year, I was emergently admitted to the hospital while Sig was at playcare and they did an amazing job of accommodating him and keeping him safe and happy until I returned home. They even gave him a stuffie toy to keep him from being lonely without me. Paws’n Claws isn’t just daycare—it’s Sig’s social club, gym, Airbnb, and spa rolled into one. Worth every penny, and then some. We’re booked solid for the foreseeable future!

We boarded our cat for two days while our home was under construction. They took great care of her! She is 3 years old and a little fearful but upon her returning home she was back to herself instantly. I feel a sense of ease knowing she is in such great care at Paws n Claws Erie!

I love this place for dog grooming! I had just rescued a dog and brought him here for his first groom and Mara did a great job with him and was very patient with him. They were very thorough yet efficient. I will definitely be bringing him here for all his future grooms. Thank you!

We had to board our two dogs for a week, and they did great at Paws 'n Claws! The staff were all very friendly & helpful. You can tell they genuinely care about pets & their people. I had never had to board before so I was nervous & emotional at drop-off, and the staff were very kind, understanding, & patient. I called often to check on them and the staff always gave thorough updates & answered any questions I had. We were reunited with happy & healthy pups. I would definitely recommend them, and we will be using them again if we need to board!

Recently due to our normal dog groomer needed to have surgery. I needed a groomer for our shitzu. I decided to try Paws and C laws in Erie. First grooming in October was awesome. Expensive for $75.00. So I booked November and December appointment for our dog. November's grooming was nowhere as good. Now came December We got there 15 minutes late. TOTALLY our fault. There front counter personal need some training. You stand and hold your dog for along time. Waiting to have someone to acknowledge you. I waited for 18 minutes in November before the counter personal acknowledged me. So in December my husband waited with our dog to be checked in. 3 staff were behind the counter. NOT ONE ACKNOWLEDGED MY HUSBAND WAITING WITH OUR DOG. A man ahead wanted his dogs nails cut. So my husband waited for them to do that. Still he waited and waited. Paws and Claws were calling to see if we were still bringing in our dog. They could wait 10 more minutes. With my husband standing there waiting. Finally someone acknowledged my husband and our dog. When my husband committed that the last grooming wasn't as good. The counter person said we were an hour late they can't do our baby. My husband was shocked. He said I have been waiting over 20 minutes to be waited on. It isn't an hour yet. He was meet with a very nasty comment by the staff member. Who said no you weren't. Trust me he was. It has happened to me in November and I was in the vehicle waiting. So they refused to groom our baby. Needless to say my husband wasn't happy. He committed we won't be back. The young lady committed OK.
