Claim it freeReigel Electrical Services, Inc. is a trusted electrical provider serving the greater Erie area. With a commitment to quality, they deliver reliable electrical services to residential and commercial customers throughout Erie, Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and surrounding communities.
Erie's aging housing stock, particularly in Downtown, Little Italy, and East Erie, often requires electrical panel upgrades and rewiring to meet modern safety standards. Pennsylvania Act 1 mandates that all electrical work be performed by a licensed electrician. Lake-effect storms frequently cause power outages, driving demand for generator installation and surge protection across Erie County.

I’ve used Reigel Electric a few times and have always appreciated their reliability and professionalism. They show up when they say they will, communicate clearly, and are respectful. A couple of months ago, they installed a 220 outlet for me and did an excellent job, which gave me confidence to call them back for a more complex ceiling fan project. Unfortunately, this most recent experience was frustrating. I had three fans needing attention: one new fan to install, one existing fan that had been removed by a contractor and needed to be reinstalled, and another that wasn’t working properly. On the first visit (which cost $550), none of the issues were resolved. The new fan was deemed defective (not Reigel's fault), the reinstalled fan mysteriously lost its reverse function (even though it had worked fine before), and the third fan was diagnosed with a bad controller and I was advised to order replacement parts from the manufacturer. On the second visit (an additional $135), they installed the warrantied controller for the new fan, which still didn’t work (again, not their fault), and replaced the controller on the reinstalled fan with one I purchased - but it remained stuck in winter mode. The third fan wasn’t looked at. At that point, I had spent quite a bit of money and still had three non-working fans. After they left, I resolved the issues with the two existing fans myself in about an hour (turns out the original controller wasn’t bad after all). The manufacturer is sending me a warranty replacement for the new fan, which I’ll be installing myself as well since I've already sunk too much money in to this project. While I continue to think Reigel is dependable for standard electrical work, this experience fell short. The troubleshooting felt limited, and in the end, I spent over $700 and was effectively in the same position I was in before calling them (aside from them repairing a circuit that wasn't grounded). That’s a tough result to justify. Edit: I appreciate the owner's response, but I was never contacted to discuss nor offered a refund.

Had our pool installed this year and expanded the job to include decorative lighting surrounding the pool deck and outlets on the exterior of the house for a patio room. Reigel's crew was always on time, hard working, courteous, and did a fantastic job. The clean , professional look they provided on the pool equipment hookup and added work for lighting and power has drawn many compliments from visitors and family. Many thanks!

These folks have been my go to Company for electrical needs now for years. Bill, the owner, and his techs have always taken great care of me. With this last project, he got me in the next day and his technician was in and out in under an hour. He arrived on time, communicated with me prior to his arrival, wore shoe coverings in the house, installed two different smart switches and was professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Truly greatful for Reigel Elct. Dan showed up to give us an est. for a new feed into our service box. The lights were going off and on every time something started up, like the AC and the furnace grinding to start. What he found that our service box was outdated. He had never seen such a dinosaur. I was not expecting that, but then he discovered that it had taken a lightning strike. The ground was burnt black, the main switch damaged, and some of the wires were very loose. After other prior estimates on our upgrade, not one pointed out the danger of the damage. Dan noticed right away the damage done. Emergency mode he put us into his busy schedule as soon as possible. Dan called REC to come and inspect our outside service. They agreed our 45yr old service panel box needed replaced. So greatfull for Dan's experience in his internal exam of the old service box damage. Our lives could have been at risk to say the least. If not discovered things possibly could have had a much different outcome. House no longer running on empty. Truly thankful the Millers.
