Claim it freeBomar Auto Repair is a trusted auto repair provider serving the greater Erie area. With a commitment to quality, they deliver reliable auto repair services to residential and commercial customers throughout Erie, Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and surrounding communities.
Erie's harsh winters, with over 100 inches of lake-effect snow and road salt, take a serious toll on vehicles. Residents in Millcreek, Harborcreek, and South Erie regularly need rust repair, brake service, and alignment work. Pennsylvania requires annual vehicle inspections and emissions testing, keeping auto repair shops busy throughout Erie County.

I brought my car to Bomar Auto Repair to fix a rear brake caliper. They said everything was fine. Two months later, my brakes failed on the highway, and I had to get towed to Firestone in Ohio. Firestone found that the caliper Bomar installed had come loose, causing a major brake fluid leak and over $1,000 in repairs. When I spoke with Bomar, they admitted fault but wouldn’t fully cover the costs. I missed work, had to pay for a hotel, and was lucky no one got hurt. I trusted them to fix my brakes safely, but that trust was broken. I can’t recommend them if you want safe, reliable repairs and accountability, go somewhere else.

This place overcharges, does shotty work, and now is hiding from me. I just want receipts for a couple thousand dollars of work I had done by them, and they won’t answer the phone, return voicemails, or answer the door. I tried about a year ago but gave up, and now that I sold the car I want those people to have the receipts for inspection. I looked in the windows while calling and heard the phone ringing and saw the guy trying to hide with the doors locked. How is this place in business?!

Completely ripped me off on an exhaust replacement. He charged me $3000. Come to find out, nothing was welded, he clamped the entire exhaust front to back. Three years later and I am replacing all the work he did, because my exhaust started falling apart. To purchase the part myself would have been $1300. So i was charged $1700 in labor for a clamp job that didn't last 4 years. I feel taken advantage of, since I have zero knowledge on car repair and didn't know the right questions to ask. I trusted that Mark was honest and was not performing shoddy work at inflated pricing. Women take your car elsewhere.

Mark and his team always do a great job. They are thorough and their prices are fair.

Great service! My daughter goes to school in Erie and needed some car repairs. Not knowing where to send her I did some research online and found Bomar had some good reviews. The good reviews were spot on. Mark kept in touch with me and I was really happy with the service. I highly recommend Bomar.
